Greetings!! Thanks for taking the time to get to know the team here at Grace! I’m Andrew Langseth, Lead Pastor at Grace church.
My wife Claire and I were married in 2005 and I graduated from Northwestern College in Roseville, MN with degrees in education! I graduated with a K-12 Music Education degree with an emphasis in choral music.
Together, we felt a stirring in our hearts and leading in our lives towards being involved in full time church ministry - and so (get this!) Claire and I prayed together, praying that if it was His will, God would provide us with an opportunity to serve Him. I even prayed specifically for a position in the Stewartville area. THAT NIGHT, pastor John Grams called us to tell us about the Associate Pastor of Worship and Student Ministries they had opening up soon and asked if we might be interested or looking. God answers prayer!
I joined the staff at Grace Church in 2008 as the Pastor of Worship and Student Ministries making music and teaching, exactly what my degree prepared me for. For 13 years I planned the services, led the music, and worked with students to come alongside parents to point students into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
My vision statement is Colossians 1:28-29 - "Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me." God has called me to invest in disciples that will make disciples — becoming a beacon of light and hope in the community of Stewartville and SE Minnesota.
In 2020, I was asked to transition to lead pastor. It has been a joy to continue creating a culture of disciple-making through relationships. At Grace, we lean into the following four discipleship areas.
#1 - Being deeply grounded and committed to the Word of God. #2 Growing in understanding and experience of dependent prayer. #3 Experiencing the love of God and showing the extravagant love of Jesus to others. And #4, living out a life of worship in obedience.
It is a joy to serve Jesus’ church with the ever-present support of my wife Claire and our six children Josh, Abbie, Asher, Elisabeth, Reagan and Jonathan.
