Bio….
Aaron grew up in Hawley, MN, a small town in northwestern Minnesota. He decided to pursue pastoral ministry while in high school, and he got accepted into the University of Northwestern - St. Paul to pursue a 5-year dual enrollment program for a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and a Masters of Divinity. After graduating in four years with his two degrees, Aaron pursued many churches within the Evangelical Free Church denomination. It took a little over a year until the Lord led him to become the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Stewartville, MN.
Aaron is married to his wife, Kayla, who is originally from Linwood, Minnesota. They have been married since August of 2019, and they were very excited to finally settle in a small town where they could call their home for many years. Aaron and Kayla are passionate about making disciples and helping young men and women grow in their faith. They believe a relational environment is the most important part of fulfilling their calling. They love to spend time with people and open up their home and lives with people.
Aaron’s philosophy of ministry is that a pastor is a giver of the Word. In everything he does and says, he is to live out the Word of God to help individuals take one step closer to Jesus every day. As the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, he believes the primary role of spiritual formation within a student’s life starts at the home. His role is secondary to a child’s parent or guardian. With that being said, he believes his role is to cultivate an environment for students to make choices that will help them understand the Word of God, make valuable life decisions, and grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus. He has a passion to work with parents in serving the students of Stewartville, MN.
